The 11.6" 32GB 300e Multi-Touch 2-in-1 Chromebook from Lenovo is an education-focused system designed for students and teachers. It comes with G Suite for education and is built to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use. Specs-wise, it's powered by a 2.1 GHz MediaTek 8173C quad-core processor, 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and integrated Imagination graphics. Its 11.6" display has a 1366 x 768 resolution for crisp and clear HD playback, and multi-touch support for an intuitive and efficient way to work. Thanks to its 360° hinge, you can adjust its display to different viewing modes to best fit your current application. Other integrated features include 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-A and Type-C ports, an HDMI port, a webcam, a microphone, speakers, and headphone jack. The operating system installed is Chrome OS.

Chrome OS
Using Linux as a base, Google designed Chrome OS to work exclusively with web applications. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, which greatly resembles the Google Chrome web browser. Chrome OS was built for people who spend a majority, if not all, of their time on the computer connected to the Internet. The only application that comes installed on Chrome OS is a special Google Chrome web browser with an integrated media player and file manager. All other applications are accessed by adding apps from the Google Chrome Web Store. Since Chrome OS relies entirely on Google's web apps and access to Google's services, it is highly recommended that you connect to the Internet to optimize your Chrome OS experience.
Classroom-Tough
The 300e Chromebook is MIL-STD-810G compliant and built with rubber bumpers, reinforced ports, and a 360° hinge that won't snap under pressure. Moreover, it's drop-resistant up to 29.5" / 75 cm. Its keyboard features mechanically anchored keys that can't be pulled off and a sealed touchpad that can resist spills of up to 1.39 cups / 330 ml.
All-Day Battery
The battery within the 300e Chromebook is rated for up to 10 hours of use, so you can leave your charger at home.
G Suite for Education
G Suite for Education allows students and teachers to create and share with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
Google Classroom
Google Classroom is designed to help teachers save time, keep classes organized, and improve communication with students. Use it to create classes, distribute assignments, send feedback, and see everything in one place.

    Lenovo 300e Chromebook reviews

    11.6" 32GB 300e Multi-Touch 2-in-1 Chromebook is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect and Portable I bought this Chromebook for a month long training session this summer. It's the perfect size to carry with me all day long. It also fires up very quickly and has all the features I need to take notes and search the internet. It's also nice that it's built extra tough, so I don't need to worry about damaging it while carrying it around. The touchscreen is also super accurate. Rated 3 out of 5 by from a lot to like, some to dislike The only other Chromebook I've owned was a 720 with Core i3 processor, so most everything will be compared with that experience. The lag in performance is noticeable immediately, just opening apps or new tabs in Chrome. It actually matches the performance I've experienced in test-driving other Chromebooks that didn't have the i3, but I was still a little surprised considering how old those others had been. About a month in, and I'm still getting used to waiting. The form factor is nice, as one of the reasons I bought this model was for the convertible tablet aspect. It's a big tablet, and feeling the keyboard on the bottom is odd; however, I fly a lot, so it is nice to be able to keep this device out the entire time I'm on the plane instead of keeping it stowed until laptops are allowed. In laptop mode the keyboard is responsive and the keys have a comfortable travel. The touchpad is not as sensitive as what I'm used to on or my old Chromebook or Windows laptops, so there is a lot of re-clicking. I knew I was going to want more storage than the 32GB it came with, so I asked the question about how the SD card fits on the Lenovo product site. It was answered that the card sits flush with the body when inserted, but that is patently incorrect. Only about 2/5 of the card is inside the body, so most of it is sticking out, which means I am loathe to leave an SD card installed when I put it in my backpack. All that really means is using expandable storage is just as inconvenient as it was for me previously, but I don't appreciate a Lenovo rep providing a wrong answer. The screen is a pleasant surprise. It is 720p resolution, which suits me just fine, but the brightness and sharpness is outstanding. I am still regulalry attempting to turn down the brightness to save battery power when I realize I am only a couple of steps up from "off." The battery lasts as long as advertised, which was another reason I chose this model. As the backup device for both of my Windows laptops, I depend on it to be available to use after they go dead. I don't think it has died yet, even when I forgot the power cable on a 3-day trip. I also really like having a USB-C charging cable, as it juices my phone in no time. Play apps work great, almost across the board. The pre-loaded VLC player was giving me problems, but since I installed it from the Play Store it has worked perfectly. I haven't installed a ton of apps, but I haven't had any problems with functionality. I've had a few Android tablets, and Fire tablets, but the lagging performance and lack of keyboard always reminded me that they weren't Chromebooks. The 300e gives me the tablet convenience with Play apps and on an airplane while still providing the laptop experience. I had been considering an iPad, but that would be my only Apple device. Considering the price equivalence with the entry-level iPad, and already being firmly planted in the Google ecosphere, this device checks a lot of boxes for me. I can live with the SD card sticking out and the slight patience required for responsiveness.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy, very good touch response Bought it fo my middle schooler and we both are very satisfied. Its sturdy enough to take the beating at the school. The hinges and keys are strong and leave me one less thing to worry about. Super happy with the touch screen, very responsive and smooth. Its a little towards the smaller, pudgier side, but then for its sturdiness its an easy trade-off [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
