Moza Guru 360 Air overview

  • 1Description

The Moza Guru 360Air Gimbal is a 3-axis handheld gimbal stabilizer for 360° and VR cameras. Designed with an arc-shaped yaw arm and camera holder to provide unobstructed 360° views, the Guru 360Air overcomes the major challenge in stabilizing 360° cameras. The gimbal enables you to keep your 360° camera's horizon level stable, capturing smooth shots and highly immersive 360° videos. The added stability also makes stitching easier when using multiple cameras.

The Guru 360Air features a 5-way analog joystick on the gimbal handle, and offers three different filming modes: follow, lock, and head lock. It also comes with an iOS mobile app (free download) that allows you to control it remotely from an iPhone/iPad. On the base of the handle is a 1/4"-20 threaded mounting hole for attaching to monopods and other supports. The downloadable app will let you operate the filming modes remotely. The supplied battery lasts up to eight hours, depending on use. Other accessories, including ten counterweights, are included.

    Moza Guru 360 Air reviews

Guru 360Air Gimbal for VR/360 Cameras is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used it with a Camcorder, Gopro Omni, and more! We needed a gimbal to help stabilize our insta360pro setup. Helpful hint for the insta360pro remove the internal battery and externally power the camera. You'll get a much longer record time for the camera and better performance with the gimbal. The crew also discovered that the gimbal will stabilize any camera we could balance on it. It surprised us and worked well with our 4K camcorder JVC GY170. Balancing can be tricky due to the counterweights and how its all adjusted. So don't expect to be filming the same day when the gimbal arrives.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BROKEN for Insta360 Pro Do not believe MOZA's advertising. This gimbal absolutely cannot work with the Insta360 Pro. Due to the I360's weight the counterweights needed stick out prominently from the arm, and the arm length/knob design causes a huge catch at the bottom of the gimbal. This totally breaks the gimbal's performance and keeps it from rotating laterally. Even their youtube video for setup only shows the gimbal rotate laterally pre-setup, and conspicuously doesn't show it in use post-setup. The only in-action footage from gimbal guru shows the same clearance issue occurring and them improperly balancing the unit just to get around it. This is a major design flaw and I would highly recommend anyone considering purchasing this unit wait for competing products/later iterations.
