Alpine Astronomical Baader Canon EOS Wide T-Ring System with Deep-Sky H-alpha Filter
Shown with Optional Equipment (Not Included)
Key Features
  • Canon EOS Bayonet Mount
  • For Filtered Astrophotography Images
  • 2" Mounted/50.4mm Unmounted Filters
  • Eliminates Vignetting on Fast Systems
Engineered to take advantage of today's larger camera sensors, the Alpine Astronomical Baader Canon EOS Wide T-Ring System eliminates the vignetting that is common when using conventional T-rings, especially on faster systems. The modular design enables the use of an array of Baader 2" mounted or 50.4mm unmounted specialty filters such as O-III, H-alpha, luminance, or neutral density. It comes with three mounting options: a standard 42mm T-thread for conventional T-mount attachment, a low-profile 2" nosepiece to fit into diagonals and visual backs, and a standard 48mm astronomical filter thread. This system is specifically designed to match the Canon EOS bayonet mount. The T-ring assembly comes with a 50.4mm round unmounted hydrogen-alpha filter with a narrow 7nm bandpass. Intended for deep-sky use, it uniformly passes the maximum amount of bandwidth possible to virtually eliminate halos, reflections, and ghosting. It also completely rejects light pollution and blocks longer interfering wavelengths, enabling even the faintest deep-sky objects to be imaged regardless of where the user is located, and with shorter exposure times compared with other filters.
