Purpose built for use with their Maxbright binoviewer, the Alpine Astronomical Baader 45° Erecting Amici Prism can be used on any refractor or Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope (SCT) optical tube with a 1.25" holder to correct the view for easy and comfortable terrestrial viewing. A combination of anti-reflection coatings on the portions of the prism where light passes through and total-reflection coatings on the prism reflective surfaces limit light loss and diffraction through the optical path to ensure bright and clear views. An integrated glasspath corrector helps to correct chromatic aberration and fringing that occur, especially on refractors, as a result of the additional prisms in the binoviewers and provides the ability to achieve a tack-sharp focus.
