The CAMVATE DSLR Shoulder Mount Rig with Dual Handgrip Support Kit is a 15mm rod shoulder-mount solution designed for DSLRs or other compact cameras. The offset design places your camera's LCD screen in front of your eyes for easier viewing while shooting. The rig features a rod offset bracket (Z-bracket) and two pairs of rods, one 7.9" and the other 11.8" long, that support the included shoulder pad and handgrips.
The shoulder pad features multiple mounting holes, and it mounts onto the rig using an included 15mm dual-rod clamp. The included leather-wrapped handgrips feature ARRI-style rosettes and mount onto the rods via an included dual-rod clamp with an ARRI-style rosette on each side. The baseplate features both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tie-down screws and it slides into the tripod mounting plate, is height adjustable, and has a 15mm rod clamp to support one of the 15mm rod pairs, allowing you to mount the handgrips on front of the baseplate, as well as the rod offset bracket behind it.

CAMVATE C1769 Overview
The shoulder pad features multiple mounting holes for the included 15mm rod clamp. This allows you to adjust the position and placement of the shoulder pad on the rig side to side, as well as front to back, for maximum comfort and support.
Each handgrip features a leather-wrapped grip surface and uses locking levers to secure the handgrip to the rod clamp.
The handgrips and rod clamp for the handgrips feature ARRI-style rosettes, allowing you to orient the grips securely.
The camera baseplate has both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded camera tie-down screws. It slides in and out of the adjustable tripod mounting plate, which uses a built-in clamp to hold the plate fast.
The tripod mounting plate features both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes for mounting on a tripod.
The rod clamps use the LWS standard for 15mm rods, allowing you to mount standard accessories onto the rods.
The aluminum rods feature M12 interior threading, allowing you to extend them with optional threaded rod extenders.

We have multiple of the Camvate Shoulder Rigs for our video camera's. I can tell you I like the quality for the price and with B&H I can get them quickly. What my field camera operators will tell you is they are easy to use, comfortable for an extended time (like shooting football), they feel sturdy yet easy to adjust between operators and can take the constant jostle of moving about the field . For our purpose a counter weight is needed to balance the camera weight. A V-mount battery accomplishes that. This is a very good shoulder mount rig that does it's job, doesn't cost a ton and my people like. That's why we've made them our go to shoulder kit.

I wish I had seen the CAMVATE Rig with the Dtap attached on the back of the shoulder pad, because the offset in weight and power distribution would be a huge upgrade. I like how sturdy the components feel. The hand grips are firm and comfortable. The shoulder pad is made well. Overall it's a nice rig straight out of the box.

Can anyone recommend a decent counterweight for these rear rails? Or at least make out what size these are so I can find one myself?
Since I am a nice guy, I will help you out. What I did was I put on longer rear rails and then purchased the Revo 4.6lbs counterweight. You would need longer rear rails in order to fit this counterweight onto the rig.
