With the G7 ThinQ 64GB Unlocked Smartphone from LG, you get a dual 16MP camera system with brains. The AI Cam of the G7 can recognize up to 19 subject items in your shot, such as whether the subject is a person, or the picture type is a close-up photo. After snapping a pic, the AI Cam gives you 4 filter options that best enhance you shot. It even knows when you're shooting in low-light situations, and will automatically increase the brightness for you.

At 1000 nits, the G7's 6.1" QHD+ FullVision display is super bright and readable, even in direct sunlight. The G7 ThinQ gives you the option of sticking with edge-to-edge FullVision for maximum screen real estate, or you can ditch the notch for a smooth top, using that extra bit of space for a notification bar.

Running the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, this phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 2.8/1.7 GHz (2.8 GHz Quad + 1.7 GHz Quad) Octa-Core processor and 4GB of RAM. You can store your AI-enhanced images, apps, and videos on 64GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded via an (optional) microSD card up to 256GB in size.

This phone is unlocked and compatible with GSM/4G LTE networks. Connect to the internet and other devices with built-in 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2.4+5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. The G7 ThinQ also supports NFC technology for making phone-to-phone data transfers or mobile payments.

Android 8.0 Oreo

You can even download new themes using the Google Play Store, which offers access to millions of apps, games, books, music, movies, and more. Android 8.0 Oreo adds major productivity and security capabilities to the operating system. They've introduced Google Play Protect, which scans apps on your phone to detect harmful behavior. With the touch of the Home button, continue to work in apps while watching active videos in Picture-in-Picture mode. Other features include, faster boot speed, automatically turning on Wi-Fi when near saved networks, limiting background activity for little used apps, notification snoozing, smart text selection, and more.

The full list of compatible carrier frequencies can be found herezefrsaetfyqtqzrwqzv, the frequencies this phone supports can be found in the product specs.
Snap and Search with Google Lens
The G7 ThinQ supports Google Lens technology, which lets you use your camera to learn about the world around you through images. Snap a picture of almost anything, and let Google Lens give you more information on it. You can learn the history of a landmark or the name of a building. Snap a picture of an object you're interested in and search or shop for it online. You can even use it to translate signs, menus, and other text to navigate unfamiliar locations.
See More with Wide-Angle Photos
The dual camera system features a 16MP 80-degree standard-angle camera, and one 16MP 107-degree wide-angle camera. The ability to shoot wide-angle photos lets you capture more of what you see. Whether that equates to a more breathtaking panoramic mountain view, or an epic selfie that includes everyone in your crew.
Get More Bass and DTS-X 3D Surround Audio
The built-in speakers of the G7 ThinQ smartphone are meant to give you both a more personal and realistic experience. Compared to the previous LG G6, the bass of the speakers has been bumped by up to 39% for louder, room-filling audio.

G7 ThinQ 64GB Smartphone (Unlocked, Platinum) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very well designed high quality phone After two iPhones and two Nexus devices, this is the best phone I ever used. I use it on Project Fi (got it from Google). Initially I was worried about the LG OS skin and not being able to use the "clean" Google Android anymore. But I like the LG skin. The changes are small and the changes I do notice make the phone easier to use. For example the settings are much more organized. The phone feels super fast, compared to my Nexus 6P. I find the size perfect. I can use it in one hand but have a large enough screen. The screen is wonderfully clear and bright. The camera is nice and fast. I like the wide angle 2nd lens. I like the SD card expansion option. Up to 2GB. Feels like a high quality built phone. All in all a very well rounded and designed high quality phone!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great phone at a good price 5 stars if the battery were a little better. Don't get me wrong the battery life is good, but will need to be recharged daily and possibly during the day as well. Phone features are really good. for me the most important things in a phone, besides phone, text and email are Music and the Camera. All other things are secondary. In those two areas this phone excels. Music is the very best of any phone. the headphone jack won it over all other phones because i need to plug it in to get music through my car speakers. Quaddac is awesome! Camera is very good. other phones may review better, but unless you compare side by side, how would you know? Wide angle is nice, video is great. Price from B&H is a really good deal. Factor in all the discounts (Tx&Sh&screen protector) and the real cost was around 550. Love this Phone!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice modern android phone I really like this phone. It is speedy. I recognizes my fingerprint so quickly that I am never tempted to resort to entering my pass-code manually. The screen resolution is nice - when I read my ebooks, the letters are crsp and well defined. The speed is exemplary - which it should be with the 845 processor. Qi recharging is reliable and reasonably speedy. battery life is good - I haven't run out in a day once except for one day when I was setting up my smart devices and hammering the networking. The notch is a little annoying. I cant wait until that fad runs its course. I haven't taken too many photos with it so I can't comment on the camera. My only concern is how often it will receive updates. Other than that, I'm quite pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from really nice flagship! This phone is an amazing value for a top of the line flagship competing with Samsung and Apple releases. Recent sale prices on B&H and Amazon make this a no-brainer choice. I was enjoying my LG G6 very much, but decided to pass it down to a family member, and buy the G7. Perfect choice, at least for me. The G7, like the G6, is not flashy or gimmicky, but is a solid, well-designed phone with all the latest hardware: Vibrant, sharp screen, with amazing brightness, fast Snapdragon 845 SOC, both quick and wireless charging, and excellent battery life so far (noticeably better than my G6, which has  a bigger battery!). Fingerprint and face unlock are fast and reliable. The free 2nd-year warranty extension is a superb bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding phone! The LG G7 ThinQ has every feature I wanted. Speedy processor, lots of memory, SD card capable, water resistant, headphone jack, always on lock screen, very good fingerprint reader, dedicated Google assistant button, wireless charging, double bright screen mode for outdoors, portrait mode camera with wide angle lens. Not a fan of the notch but getting used to having the notification bar up there to free up the rest of the screen for the application. Unlocked phone has very minimal bloatware compared to Samsung and AT&T locked phone. Coming from an OLED screen, the G7 LCD screen does not get as dark at minimal brightness as OLED so I have a night mode filter app that works great as my only work around. Otherwise this is a truly outstanding phone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice phone should have 6gb or ram While everyone is having 6gb of ram and 128gb storage, Cheap LG still use 64gb and 4gb of ram, this should be the perfect phone, no kore burn in problems because it is super lcd great for ride sharing drivers. CheapLG. Return mine because Sprint as usual cant activate my sim to their network they want me to buy the sim g7 from them which is full of bloatware no thanks sprint. Got mine on ama, super cheap 649 BHphoto super awesome had a deal for 629 with free tempered glass and headset. I hope they kept and stayed to that price which is about this phone's worth. Anyway this is better than samsung s9+

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very well designed, high quality phone After two iPhones (4 and 5S) and two Nexus (5 and 6P) devices, this is the best phone I ever had. As it should be, but it exceeded my expectations. I use it on Project Fi (got it from Google). Initially I was worried about the LG OS skin and not being able to use the "clean" Google Android anymore. But I like the LG skin. The changes are small and the changes I do notice make the phone easier to use. For example, the settings seem more organized. The phone feels super fast, compared to my last phone, the Nexus 6P. I find the screen size perfect. I can use it in one hand but have a large enough screen to read or watch anything I want. The screen is wonderfully clear and bright., so that I really do not care at all that it isn't an AMOLED screen, as some reviewers point out. It's the nicest screen I have had on a phone, super bright and much more readable in sun light than my Nexus 6P AMOLED screen. The camera and battery are two other points sometimes listed as weaker for this phone compared for example to the Pixel 2 and Samsung S9. I can't compare to these two phones but for me the camera is the best one I have had, it makes nice clear shots, even at dusk or night, and it is fast. I like the wide angle 2nd lens. And the battery is the longest lasting I have had. I get through almost two days, with little telephone use but several hours of e-mailing and social media use. I very much like the SD card expansion option, up to 2GB. The feel is of a premium, high quality built phone. I like the glass on both sides, although it attracts finger prints. All in all a very well rounded and designed high quality phone! I think the MSRP of $749 is maybe just a little on the high side. But if you can get it on sale ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best all-around phone I could find My previous phone was a Samsung. Due to Samsung's weird, poorer duplication of every single function Google already provides, along with their next-to-useless Bixby, and receiving an update from Samsung that broke many of the phone's features essentially making it worse, I decided to try a different Android phone manufacturer. Here's what I wanted in a new phone: -Solid camera -All-day battery life -A headphone jack -Usable with one hand -Water and dust resistance Through a lot of research, I narrowed it down to the OnePlus 6, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact (yay premium-ish pocket-sided phones that are usable with one hand!), and the LG G7. Since the first wasn't water-resistant and was wider (making one-handed use more difficult), and the second didn't have a headphone jack, I went with the LG G7, since it checks all these boxes. The battery life of the LG G7 was my main concern, since it's only 3000 mAh, and a step down from the 3300 mAh of the G6. However, after almost two weeks of use, I've found that it gets me through my day with moderate use and about 6 hours of screen on time (after tweaking a small handful of settings, most notably lowering the resolution to medium, which saves battery but still looks fine -- I leave many other features on, though, including auto brightness and the very useful context awareness). While I wish the battery were slightly bigger to provide a little more breathing room, it's good enough. All the other things I was looking for are there in spades. The camera is great (not quite Pixel level and the image stabilization on video could use a little work, but very good; and with the wide-angle lens, outstanding); the sound is amazing through the headphone jack thanks to the Quad DAC, and decent even through the phone's speakers due to its pretty effective boombox design (not a gimmick - it really works!); the bloatware on the unlocked version is minimal (and I like and use the Google Assistant button... unlike Bixby); and it's IP68 rated. There were also lots of nice things I wasn't looking for but I enjoy, such as context awareness and the brightness boost for better outdoor use. One thing I'd like to emphasize that a lot of reviews I've read didn't is that this phone, although having a big screen, is still quite usable with one hand. While I have large hands, I'm also a New Yorker and decent one-handed use and phone pocketability are essential for me, so I was hesitant about getting a phone with a large screen. But since the LG G7 is thin and tall, one-handed use isn't an issue for me. You can't reach the top of the screen, but it has a one-handed mode, so with a quick swipe across the home row (which can sometimes be finicky, but still works), you can shrink the screen with one hand and then reach the top with little problem. You can also add a notification shade button to your home row so you can pull that down with a tap if needed. I wish LG didn't remove the swiping down on the fingerprint reader to open the notification shade, but, hey, nothing's perfect. But if the LG G7 had a slightly bigger battery capacity, a less finicky way of activating one-handed mode, and a swipe-down option on the fingerprint reader, it would be as close to perfect for my needs as it could be.
