Watson CX AA 2000mAh Reviews
Not all Cells Performed the Same
I use these cells for some applications because they fit better in the battery compartments of some of my gear as compared to Eneloop AA cells. One cell in my most recent order of 8 was not charged initially. I ran capacity tests with a Powerex charger analyzer and the initial capacity was around 1/2 rated. This is not exactly unusual for new cells so I usually cycle the cells several times and capacity gradually increases. After several cycles with a 400 mah discharge rate some cells improved to acceptable capacities (few cells of any brand seem to test equal to their rating although lower discharge rates tend to result in more capacity. Two of the cells seemed to stop taking a charge after a few cycles. However when these went through the charger's break in cycle they seemed to revive. My use for the cells is wireless microphones, in-ear monitor receivers, electronic flash, LED flashlights (which can have high discharge rates), and portable recorders. Subjectively the Eneloop cells may have somewhat better performance, but their slightly larger size makes for too tight a fit for some of my gear.
Good price for a good number of batteries
Priority for me is the number of times they can be cycled. I use them for torches and kids' toys around the house.
