Available for download, the Vienna Symphonic Library Synchron Yamaha CFX Full Library (Upgrade from Standard Library) is a virtual instrument that puts a beautiful, hand-crafted, full size 9' Yamaha CFX concert grand piano under your fingertips, one that has been meticulously sampled on the Synchron Scoring Stage in Vienna, Austria. The instrument utilizes up to 4200 samples per key, using 10 different microphone combinations to capture the natural ambience of this recording space.
Taking up 239.9GB of hard disk space, the Synchron Yamaha CFX provides a natural feel, sympathetic resonances, the ability to half-pedal and re-pedal, and a whole lot more. Six presets are provided for different type of music, but thanks to the intuitive Synchron Pianos Software, you can tailor the piano's responses and timbre to your individual needs. This software is compatible with Mac and Windows, and operates in AU, VST, and AAX formats.

Furthermore, all samples were recorded using the instrument’s integrated, computer-controlled performance reproducing system. Its noncontact optical sensors detected every movement of all 88 keys (position, velocity and release velocity), as well as the pedals (including half-pedaling) with precision, reproducing delicate nuances of a human performance. Additional hammer sensor-feedback allowed for accurate reproduction of special playing techniques such as rapid note repetition and softly played notes.
What’s more, over the course of several months, Vienna Symphonic Library team members were trained in preparing and tuning the grand piano accurately by Vienna’s leading piano technicians in order to achieve absolutely consistent tuning and sound characteristics during the entire recording process.
