They fit over, great to extend the life of some not so bad earpads,
if yours have change their original shape you may loose freq. Response. Shoud change them too

The Bluestar earpads are made of a synthetic chamois material with neoprene inside while the material used for the Garfield Softies is velour-like rayon chenille. The Bluestars have a flat and smooth feel while the Garfields have a more textured feel and seem slightly thicker.
