Designed for beginners, the black da Vinci Mini 3D Printer from XYZprinting is 30% smaller than the da Vinci Jr. 1.0, yet features the same open and non-heated aluminum print bed, 5.9 x 5.9 x 5.9" build volume, 100-400-micron layer resolution, and the ability to utilize 1.75mm PLA filaments. It has been built using Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) technology, is equipped with a single extruder nozzle that has a diameter of 400 microns (0.4mm), and users may print their compatible STL, 3MF, and proprietary XYZ (3W) files using wired USB 2.0 connectivity or 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi.
To keep things running smoothly, the da Vinci Mini 3D Printer uses auto-calibration, while an LED status indicator serves to indicate various system states. Supported operating systems include Windows 7 and above, as well as Mac OS X 10.8 and above. When used under Windows, 32/64-bit operating systems with 4GB or more RAM are supported, while use with a Mac requires a 64-bit system with 4GB or more RAM. Free XYZmaker 3D modeling software is also available as a download, as are over 4500 3D models from the XYZ 3D Gallery.
