Benro's HD1A 3-Way Panhead is lightweight, weighing just 1.3 lb and supporting up to 11 lb of equipment. The smooth front and horizontal tilt, 360° pan movements, and snap-in quick release plate system with dual locks make this a valuable addition to your camera kit. Graduated scales for quick repositioning, a separate pan knob, and three built-in bubble levels make this a must-have. An Arca-type compatible quick release plate is included.

Benro HD1A Reviews
Awesome
This tripod head is so easy to put together. I setup my camera and it was just so easy to move and it all flowed any direction I wanted with little effort. And once I got set I locked it into place and nothing moved.
Well-made and smooth operating, except for release mechanism
I ordered this panhead for use in astrophotography, especially to make switching from landscape to portrait orientation as simple as possible in the dark. This tripod head filled that bill, and it is clearly well-made and solid, but the Arca-type, dual-locking release mechanism for the plate, at least on my copy, was just too stiff. When I turn the knob to the arrow and then pull it out to keep turning it and release the plate, it won't keep turning. I had to jiggle it and coax it like mad--which is difficult with a big camera and lens attached--and at one point I even had to take the head entirely off the tripod to wrestle with it. I realize it might loosen up over time, but I'm opting to return it and try a different brand.
