APC Smart-Ups overview

  • 1Description

Keep your servers up and running during a power outage with the Smart-UPS SRT 1000VA Rack Mount with Network Management Card (120V) from APC. With a maximum output power capacity of 900W / 1000VA, six NEMA 5-15R outputs, and a pre-installed network management card, the Smart-UPS SRT 1000VA offers ideal power and surge protection for applications such as mid-range Windows/Linux servers, Wi-Fi applications, data network backbones, medical labs, ATM machines, cellular sites, and other business-critical systems.

The rack/tower convertible Smart-UPS SRT 1000VA comes with a multi-color backlit LCD status display that shows current load, battery charge, output/input voltage, runtime, and battery health. Also included are Ethernet, serial, USB and SmartSlot interfaces, a pre-installed AP9631 network management card, audible alarms, hot-swappable batteries, an estimated three-hour recharge time, and cold-start functionality.

Backlit Graphical LCD
Backlit LCD provides text in multiple languages and mimic diagrams that display modes of operation, system parameters, and alarms, with the ability to configure locally. Multi-color backlighting shows normal operation while highlighting issues that need attention, allowing for users to easily identify the UPS status. Information available on the LCD includes load indicator, battery charge, output/input voltage, runtime, load, and battery health.
Switched Outlet Groups
Provides the ability to control a group of receptacles independent from the main UPS. This feature allows options such as the ability to reboot hung devices without cycling the entire UPS, shedding of non-critical loads based on various parameters, scheduling time off to conserve energy, and sequenced turn on/off.
Intelligent Battery Management
Temperature-compensated charging helps to extend battery life, while advanced algorithms recommend replacement date. The UPS is designed to inform users which batteries need to be replaced in advance and detect when additional battery packs are added.
Battery Failure Notification
Provides early-warning fault analysis on batteries enabling timely preventive maintenance.
ECO Mode
Bypasses unused electrical components in good power conditions to boost operating efficiency by up to 95% without sacrificing protection.
Operate without Battery
Ability to protect equipment when power returns after a complete discharge of the battery.
Built-in Energy Meter
Measures energy use and displays UPS efficiency in various modes of operation for easy energy tracking.
Network Manageable
Manage the UPS via serial, USB or Ethernet. Includes PowerChute software for monitoring and control, safe operating system shutdown, and energy management capabilities.

Automatic Self-Test
Periodic battery self-test helps to ensure early detection of a battery that needs to be replaced.
User-Replaceable Batteries
Helps to increase availability by allowing a trained user to upgrade and replacement the batteries, which helps to reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
Audible Alarms
Provide notification of changing utility power and UPS power conditions.
Disconnected Battery Notification
Warns when a battery is not available to provide backup power.
Predictive Failure Notification
Provides early-warning fault analysis ensuring proactive component replacement.
Scalable Runtime
Allows additional runtime to be quickly added as needed.
Automatic Restart of Loads After UPS shutdown
