The only way to attach color gels to a softbox is simply buying 1 or more gels, tape them together, & cover the front of the box size with clips.
Tis only works in certain situations,

Do we cut a circular piece of gel (Rosco) to fit inside the ring, screw it down, then attach a ZR2grid inside the outer ring?

I have a set of d1 moonlights on the way and need to mount color correction gels. Does this mount directly to the flash head, or do I need another piece of kit?
The gel and filter holder is made to attach to the zoom reflector. Unless your d1 kits include the zoom reflector (probably not) you will also need those.

The Holder covers an 8 inch Zoom reflector so you would need something a little bigger that.
