Robus CC-001 Center Column for Vantage Series 3 and 5 Carbon Fiber Tripods

I don't have an accurate way to measure the diameter of the plate directly, but if the drawing provided on the B&H Robus CC-001 web page is dimensionally accurate, and you scale up using the shaft dimension given in the details (32 cm), I calculate roughly 71.6 mm for the plate diameter. Regardless, I'd be surprised if the CC-001 properly fits any brand other than Robus.

Unfortunately no, center columns are brand and model specific. Currently Induro no longer makes a center column for the GIT504L.

Well, I disagree with the two previous reviewers. I get 1.5 inches, or a tad more if you want to include the small knurled protrusions around the circumference. I suggest contacting Robus directly. I've found them to be very helpful with my questions. As an aside, I highly recommend the Robus RC-5570 Vantage Series 3 Carbon Fiber Tripod married to this CC-001 center column as a base for a pro DSLR and long lens used for bird photography. It is a terrific setup.

The CC-001 center column is designed to work with the Robus tripod system, and is not compatible with the Gitzo GT4552TS tripod.

The center screw is removable, so you could substitute another of your choice. Alternatively, if it's too long for your purpose, a metal washer inserted as a spacer would solve the problem. It, along with the Vantage 5, has become my favorite tripod that I choose out of a closet of more than a dozen other top drawer tripods. Highly recommended.
