The Sony RX1Rii has an odd shutter release button, like the older fashioned film cameras, threaded for a shutter release. Not sure why. This button makes the shutter release much easier to use. A more natural release.

Unfortunately, no, the FotodioX Pro Soft Shutter Release Button for Sony DSC-RX1R II, B&H # FOSHTRBRX1R2, would not be compatible for use with the Sony DSC-RX1 Digital Camera. If you are looking for alternatives that would be compatible for your usage needs, I would recommend either the Match Technical BEEP-O-L-B Beep Soft Shutter Release Button (O-Ring, Black, Long), B&H # MABEEPOLB, or the Dot Line DLC Soft Shutter Release Button (Large), B&H # DODL0461, for your usage needs.
