Can you use these rings to duplicate slides?
Can you use these rings to duplicate slides?
Yes, with the right lens. Your slides will have to be evenly back lit and you will also need to have the system optically centered, aligned and stable. Extension tubes are made for general close up and macro photography. If you only want to copy slides check out "slide copiers" listed at B&H.

These are manual and made for Sony E mount. For A mount you would want these; B&H # FOMACUBESNYA

Do you also need a reverse ring along with this, or is it safe too assume it makes the lens hook up backwards since it is called a macro extension?
No, these tubes mount between the body and lens to allow for very close focus. Nothing else is needed.

Could you put a adapter on the end for a Nikon Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 and use it to scan film on sony e mount cameras?
It will work but I would advise getting an adapter with an adjustable aperture ring or if the lens itself has an aperture ring you can control.

Will this work with the Sony a7III?
Will this work with the Sony a7III?
Yes, the FotodioX Macro Extension Tube Set for Sony Alpha E-Mount Cameras: for Extreme Close-Up Photography, B&H # FOMACROTUBSN, would be compatible for use on the E-mount used on the Sony Alpha a7 III Mirrorless Digital Camera. Do note that the above are fully manual extension tubes, as there are no electronic contacts on the lens to transmit electronic information from the lens to the camera. As such, you will have to focus manually, as well as set your exposure manually. You also would not be able to control the aperture of the lens, so you will have to use the camera in either A (Aperture Priority) or M (Manual) mode.

Would these work for video on a Sony FX6 with Rokinon glass? The lens is 100% manual, so no loss of function to worry about.
The FotodioX extension tubes do work with the FX6. If you're using manual lenses it should work fine.
