question
Hi. My original plan was to use the Lee Big Stopper; with a Cokin z-Pro holder on my Bower 14mm D700 combination. I read on the Big stopper Q&A that the Cokin cannot take 4mm filter. So now I'm opting for this Lee Foundation Kit.The next challenge is a adaptor ring. This is difficult as the Bower has no thread. I have machined my own aluminium adaptor Ring with an outside diameter of 101mm; which slides into the filter holder; securing it. The other end is a slide-fit over the lens body with securing bolts.So; are there any comments on this combination of gear? the 4x4inch filters would work fine on a lens this wide?I just want to make 100% sure before I order.I'm interested in Long Exposure Landscape shots
The Lee Big stopper is not 4mm. It is 2mm thick.

Anyone know how to stop flare when the light ...
Anyone know how to stop flare when the light source hits the filters from above? The LEE lens hood only protects the front of the lens/filters but sometimes I get flare when the sun hits the filters from the top of the filters or behind hitting the corners that are exposed
The best product I can recommend is the Dinkum lens shade. You can view the item on our site by clicking the link below;

question
Will this holder vignette @ 10mm focal length on a Sigma 10-20mm Lens with a 77mm thread?
As long as you use the LEE Filters Adapter Ring - 77mm - for Wide Angle Lenses (B&H # LEARWA77), you shouldn't experience vignetting at 10mm with the 10-20mm lens.

question
Has the basic filter holder been redesigned recently? I have an old version that is all plastic with threaded inserts for the screws. I recently saw a Lee lens hood that had a center ring that was metal that was fused to the plastic. Is the current 2014 holder plastic -metal hybrid or all plastic?
This filter holder is made of a heavy duty, high impact plastic with metal screw threads built in.

question
Do Cokin 100mm x 150mm filters fit into the Lee holder with or without modifications?
Yes, the Lee Filters Foundation Kit can hold any 4x4 or 4x6 (2mm thick) filters, including Cokin.

question
Thinking of using this holder (and associated filters) on the recently released Sony FE PZ 28-135 mm f/4 G OSS lens for video. It has 95mm diameter. Has someone tried this setup? Any forseable problems (vignetting, etc)?
No, you will get vignette with the Lee Filters foundation holder. That lens can use round filters that have a 95mm filter thread.If you want to use rectangle filters with that lens you need to use a matte box that has a filter holder. The box needs the ability to work with lenses that are at least 102mm in diameter. Most matte boxes use 15mm rods so best is for you to come in to chat or call to discuss what you need specifically.
