The TASCAM 202MKVII is a rock‐solid, professional dual cassette deck that clearly reflects TASCAM’s long experience in audio equipment. Build quality is excellent, setup is straightforward, and everything works exactly as described. Playback and recording are clean and consistent, with very low noise and reliable transport operation. The combination of traditional cassette functionality with modern touches makes it perfect for archival work, digitizing tapes, or anyone who still values high‐quality analog audio. Ordering from B&H Photo Video was smooth, communication was clear, and shipping was fast and secure. The product arrived exactly as advertised, well‐packed, and in perfect condition.

There are very few choices out there for this old tape format. I did a lot of recording in the early 80's with my Tandberg and Sony decks. I got a ton of tapes both in regular and metal formats. The Tandberg and Sony both conked out not long ago, heads have worn out and no parts available for them. I am just using this for playback so 3 heads deck is really not required for me not.

how do you copy your old tapes to MP3? do you need special software
Asked by: edward
You would need to use software to digitize cassette tapes on to your computer. Audacity is a good audio recording software that s available free of charge for a PC. If you have an Apple computer, you will most likely have GarageBand audio recording software installed, which can be used.
