If you already have the Canon brand DR-E6 dummy battery, would you be able to plug that into this, or must you use the Tilta supplied dummy battery?
If you have a Dummy Battery with a D-Tap connection you will be able to use it with this system. It does not need to be a Tilta product.

Cord is attached to the dummy battery, and the other end plugs into the side of the v-mount plate.

It is a V-mount battery plate, and provided you have the correct cables (and a V-mount battery!) it will work with all of those manufacturers.

Can we use any voltage v-mount battery on this? ...
Can we use any voltage v-mount battery on this? As in the standard 14.8 volt v-mount, or a 16.8 volt high load v-mount battery or even the 26 volt output v-mount heavy load battery? I can’t find answer for this anywhere. I am sure we can use the 14.8v standard v-mount battery, but I really want to know if we can use higher voltage output v-mount batteries with this plate and if it will still regulate output voltage.
The plate is designed for use with standard 14.8V batteries. Normally you would only use a High-load battery when connecting to a camera or product that requires the high load like RED and Arri Cinema cameras.
