The Sigma TS-111 Tripod Socket is a single-locking knob collar that offers more balanced support to the Sigma 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens when used atop a tripod or monopod. Once the collar is on, it enables the lens and camera to turn on axis in a vertical or horizontal position. In addition, the dovetail foot on the tripod socket is compatible with most Arca-type clamps.

Sigma TS-111 2597ZN Reviews
Very well done
This is the implementation of the removable lens collar that should be on some Sony lenses (such as the 70-200mm f4 G OSS II). It should have come with the lens, but if you want to use the Sigma 100-400mm DG DN OS Contemporary lens on a tripod (some people don't, so Sigma was likely able to lower the price of the lens for those users by not including the collar) you'll appreciate the design that went into this collar. (This collar also fits the 105mm f1.4 DG HSM Art lens.) Five stars for design, build, and functionality. Four stars if I were to rate the item for not having come with the lens. But it is what it is. The rating here is based solely on the quality and functionality of the item, and not a judgement of Sigma's choice to not include the collar with the lens.
Works Great.
Just what was needed on the Sigma 100-400 DG DN OS.
