The Network RX Station from Sony is an advanced system for live streaming video and audio directly from select XDCAM camcorders using 4G/LTE and Wi-Fi networks at up to 5 Mb/s. The station uses QoS (quality of service) technology or MPEG2-TS to maintain video and audio integrity during transmission. It can simultaneously control two SDI outputs for live stream from two locations at the same time. Multiple systems can be added for greater input and output loads.
The unit includes reference and timecode input connectors which enable synchronized operation with broadcast systems. In addition, it can output in a variety of broadcast formats including 1080i. The system comes with the preinstalled Connection Control Manager software that enables easy connection to camcorders and delivers efficient handling of the live streams.

Connection Control Manager Software
The Connection Control Manager software enables easy connection to camcorders and delivers efficient handling of the live streams. The software is preinstalled on the unit and presents a comprehensive GUI that can be used to view thumbnails from multiple camcorders, control camcorder connections, transmission bit rates, and latency settings, and to monitor output from multiple units.
QoS Technology
Integrated Sony algorithms automatically adjust bandwidths and buffer sizes to match the characteristics of the wireless transmission. Users can be confident of high-quality streaming without concerning themselves with bandwidth settings and other technical issues. The system includes real-time ARQ (automatic repeat request), adaptive rate control (ARC), and forward error correction (FEC).
Remote File Transfer
The device allows remote access to proxy media within a supported camera or adapter. The remote operator can execute a file transfer from the camera or adapter to an FTP server or cloud service of choice.

Hi Dejan D, The new PWS-110RX1A has an updated CPU board, and adds future HEVC support. Otherwise all other specs and features are identical to the PWS-110RX1. Ralph
