Just got a 2nd. After 3 years of countless flights, roads, sidewalks, convention halls...the rubber wheels wore down. Fits great in most overhead bins.

Great Bargain For A Back Saver

Freelance wedding shooter here....got tired of carrying around extra lenses (especially the 70-200mm Canon beast) and batteries and other gear in a back pack along with 2 cameras hanging off me and carrying a light stand. Needed solution and didn't want to spend $400 for a roller when it's just gonna get beaten down in the field shoot after shoot after shoot. Picked this Ruggard since it has a good size (like a carry-on suitcase), not too big, not too small, nice out of the box compartments, extra padding to customize. Overall decent quality. But the best thing about it for my needs are the wheels. They're big enough to roll nicely and smoothly over grass which on wedding shoots is all all the time. I have a Pelican as well, great strong case but it's definitely not good in the field when traversing over grass or gravel. For the price, can't beat it IMO. This Ruggard roller has saved my back and energy on wedding shoots....and B&H shipped it fast too!

Need something to carry my stuff

This bag was a great help of getting the things I use daily off my shoulders and still being able to get it around with ease. Holds everything I need and rolls easily. Zippers are of good quality and in a pinch I can break out the straps and use it as a backpack if needed. Seems like it will work great for year to come and only time will tell but I am hopeful!

First impressions

Nice looking bag with a lot of flexibility in adjusting internal storage spaces. There are tie down rings on the back of the bag giving some ability to attach gear. The removes the backpack avility if used. The side pocket and retainer straps were insufficent for my light weight tripod. Overall, I will used the bag for my camera and star tracking epuipment for anticipated astrophotography.

Handy, Well-Made

The Ruggard Optica 15 DSLR Roller V2 is handy and (with some trial-and-error organization) contains a D850, Z6, three zooms (16-35, 24-70, 70-200), three fixed focal lengths (14, 50, 60), FTZ adapter, one on-camera strobe and the necessary odds 'n ends. It holds an amazing amount of gear - and it's heavy. I'm hoping the V2 designation means the failure-prone wheels have been upgraded. I'm happy now and hope I stay that way.

Carnivorous, and on wheels!!

First time I saw this bag in person was when it was delivered; first impressions were wonderful. Carnivorous, and on wheels!! So nice to get all that gear off my shoulders. Packed right now: 80D, T4i, T2i, 15-85mm, 70-300mm, 100-400mm, 1.4 extender, 8-16mm, mini flashlights, multi-tool, 2 polarizers, 3x 430EX flashes, 3 battery chargers, 2 grip tripods, 3 reflectors and diffusers, spare batteries. I went to one assignment with my thin laptop, but it was a little tight. My only wish is that the front pocket could be unzipped a bit more, but I suspect it's designed tight to comply with air travel.

Great bag, needs better pockets

The bag fits everything I need for a wedding and I love that, but the pockets are so tight against the bag that they don't allow room for items much thicker than chapstick. I wish they folded out to allow for larger items. I decided to keep it anyway because if you remove the optional strap from the back storage pocket, that one does have better storage. Just be aware not to use this one at venues with gravel, as the wheels won't roll and you'll need to pick it up.

Hi. It fits well in the luggage rack of an airplane or under the seat?
Asked by: Jose
There is no standard size for the entire airline industry. However, there are guidelines. One common dimension requirement of carry-on baggage for airlines is the linear dimension of the bag. That is the total of all three measurements, height x width x depth equal to no more than 45"/ 1143 mm. For this bag's dimensions, 14.5 x 20.5 x 9.5" / 36.83 x 52.07 x 24.13 cm the liner is 44.5" / 113cm. The space underneath an airline seat is nominally 20 inches / 580mm x 17 inches/ 431mm x 11 inches/ 279mm so you are good there too.
