    Loupedeck LD+ reviews

+ Photo Editing Console is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is AWESOME This is what mass photo editing should be like. I shoot events that require me to edit 500-1000 images. After just a few hours this thing has sped up my process a lot. It is becoming so intuitive and just feels good to use that I even use it on my artistic work during which I might spend an hour on a single image. When you turn a knob for an adjustment the feel is excellent and it turns with a fine control that you just cannot get from your mouse and screen. After hours of editing without it I get a sore hand from having to be very precise with my mouse - no more with this, I really love it and would not want to edit without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improvements in all the right places. I bought the 1st Loupdeck just 5 months ago and loved it but there were some things that just held it back from being fully user friendly. Some of the buttons would get stuck or not register. The buttons really were loud. Quite annoying when I was trying edit late at night. I snapped up the revised Loupdeck the first day of release and this version is much better. The buttons work much better, they are quieter and there is more customizable options. The body seems to be a little sturdier too. Once your brain memorizes where each button is, editing becomes second nature. I never have to look away from my screen. As a wedding photographer, I edit a few thousand images a week and thats not a problem on this console.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worked Great for the first 30 minutes My initial reaction was this device is great. So much better than small sliders in a sidebar. Large, easy to use knobs, buttons and wheels. I can keep my total "focus" on my monitor without having to take my eyes of the image. The third time I went to edit an image, the Loupedeck+ defaulted to having the Hue button active. Which means H/S/L is selected in the sidebar. The first two times LR went straight to the Basic panel, which I prefer. Loupedeck support has been NON-responsive for a month. Having to stop and click on the Basic panel is annoying. I may have to get out of Solo mode so I can see the Basic panel without stopping to select it. It would be better if Loupedeck would help. I like this deveice but recommend waiting until they fix this bug.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Improves my workflow Overall a lot to like. Product is well made and comfortable to use. Definitely sped up my LightRoom workflow. Lots of control w/o hitting the sidebar. Some minor issues for me start with remembering all the various layered and custom commands, as there are several modifiers (May have to take a labeler to it). Software is good but still has some minor issues as well as a few limitations due to the LR SDK, but they are working on it. Support team is responsive. I'd wish for a quicker way to find where a feature is located - a summary screen that responded to modifier button presses would be handier than poking through the configuration app. Covered well enough in the docs tho. I might have deployed the LEDs slightly differently but none of these quibbles are deal breakers - with regular use it becomes pretty familiar

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keyboard Editing Nicely made keyboard, nothing cheap or cheesy. Controls have solid positive feel. Easy to make precise adjustments. In my Windows 10 environment the keyboard sometimes drops the connection to LR if LR is closed and opened and/or I launch another editing program like One1 or Capture One, easily fixed with a reboot. I am a creature of habit and my biggest issue it remembering it's there. This is as result of the wet wear involved.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Caught In the middle The idea is great. phisycally build quality is fine. The Plug in isn't so stable and there are few bugs. Also- Not fully cusomizable at all - You can choose only small amount of actions to match each button. also It feels like it get lightroom slow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool! So I did see version one but was a little torn if I should get it or not, again it popped in my head and they released version +, so I went for it. Have to say I'm very happy with it, it takes a couple hours of use to get used to the layout but works great. The Only think i don't like is the travel of the keys, but that's nothing that makes the product not work or anything like that, it's just personal preference.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Huge potential, not there yet Great fine control over Basic adjustments in LR, much finer than a keyboard. I work exclusively in B&W, but I reckon this would be even more useful in colour. Also with an audio mixing background, I found the Loupedeck very natural to use. I'm disappointed that you can't see the clipping mask when setting Blacks, Whites etc. (you can see clipping on screen, just no mask) Allegedly that's an Adobe API issue, but really limits the functionality for me and the way I work. That said, the Loupedeck is a very nice product, well made, well presented and extremely useful in LR.
