Nisha BAY-2 to 52mm filter adapter
The Nisha filter adapter is well worth the investment if you are adapting various filter types and sizes to your Rolleiflex TLR. My need involves the use of ND and IR-72 filters. Since I already have filters in 52mm this BII to 52 is my best option. It was a special order, and it did take a month to arrive. I appreciate BH contacting me midway letting me know the order status. See attached photos for additional info. The first and second photos are of a lesser cost adapter purchased elsewhere and the Nisha adapter to the right. Note that they both appear similar however the critical difference is in the depth/space of the ‘catch lugs’. The left adapters gap/space is too tight and did not allow for the adapter to rotate into lock. The right Nisha adapters space is larger and does allow for rotation into lock*. The additional filter threading depth is also worth noting. *A note on engaging the Nisha adapter. I found that the adapter stops short of full engagement when instated. However, giving a slight pull outward of the adapter allows it to complete the engagement. The last three photos reflect the adapter attached to my Rolleiflex 3.5C. Do note that the adapter will not mount ‘tight-tight’ like a typical Rollei manufactured product. I suggest being careful when moving around, perhaps remove and remount the adapter when setting up for your next location shoot.
