Mixing a flattering focal length with a fast design, the Samyang AF 85mm f/1.4 EF is a Canon EF-mount lens well-suited for portraiture. Its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture enables extensive control over depth of field for using selective focus, and it also excels in low-light conditions. The optical design features a hybrid aspherical element, which controls distortion and spherical aberrations in order to produce greater sharpness and clarity throughout the aperture range. Individual elements also sport an Ultra Multi-Coating to suppress flare and ghosting for improved contrast in various lighting conditions. Benefitting the optics, the lens also features an Ultrasonic Dual Linear autofocus motor for quick and accurate focusing performance. Additionally, the rounded nine-blade diaphragm helps to achieve a pleasing bokeh quality.

Samyang AF 85mm f/1.4 Reviews
autofocus doesn't work
I don't recommend it, autofocus doesn't work if you take pictures through the viewfinder and if you focus through live view (not a good idea if you use a DSLR camera) then out of a series of 100-150 shots 1 or 2 shots can be used somehow, if it does not zoom in. the rest are not in focus at all. And these few from 100-150 are also not sharp. Sharp only through manual focusing. even at aperture 2.8 it does not have sharpness. I bought a lens station, but I could not do anything. There is no new firmware after 2018. Samyang support says that sorry, but we are not aware of such an error and that's it. I just strongly advise against it and that's it. Please B&H, do not sell us such equipment
Defective focus ring
The AF was not working, I checked my other lenses to see if it was my camera malfunctioning, it was not. I then tested the MF by turning the focus ring, that was not working as well. I contact BH support to initiate an exchange. I will update my review when the exchanged lens arrives, until then I do not advise purchasing this one.
