Sony Ruggedized RAID Overview

The Ruggedized Raid PSZ-RA Thunderbolt 2 Portable RAID Array from Sony is designed for professional videographers, photographers, and serious production hobbyists that require robust storage. The PSZ-RA is built with two 4TB 3.5" hard drives capable of delivering a total storage capacity of 8TB at a rotational speed of 7200 rpm, all of which help to ensure uninterrupted data transfers up to 360 MB/s. However, to fit your diverse needs, the PSZ-RA also lets you reconfigure the hard disks in a RAID 1 or JBOD format that either mirror data across the drives or copy data without a sorted structure. Furthermore, the drives come formatted in the exFAT file system, which transfers large files between systems.

Sony built and tested the PSZ-RA with a rugged, military-grade design that physically protects the drives, so it'd be unlikely for you lose your data from shock, harsh temperatures, or humidity. Protections aside, the PSZ-RA is designed to work across systems seamlessly since it's compatible with Windows and Mac systems.
