The Starlight Xpress Active Optics Guiding System is a USB-controlled unit with an integrated off-axis guider (OAG) assembly that will accept most OAGs, including the SX Lodestar X2 or Ultrastar. The guiding system monitors the edge of your telescope's field of view via a 10mm square prism to provide accurate position feedback to the control software. High-speed corrections of the star field position are generated and applied, without any need to move the mount, thus avoiding the delays associated with conventional guiding. A 10' (3m) USB cable, 12 VDC power supply, and 5' (1.5m) autoguider cable are supplied with the system.
