Can you plug into a live RJ-45 outlet and test if there is a network connection?
Asked by: Leon
According to the manufacturer specifications, the Platinum Tools VDV MapMaster 3.0 Cable Tester can only provide a continuity check through an RJ45 port. In consequence it cannot be used to test an active RJ45 port to verify network connection.
