Glide Gear POV100 Overview

The small/medium Glide Gear POV100 Helmet is made of a high-pressure plastic with a 6160 aluminum camera mounting bracket that has a height adjusting knob on each side of the bracket. The camera mounting bracket can handle cameras that weigh up to three pounds, and nine weight discs are included to add weight towards the front or the back of the helmet; the aluminum disc balances the offset of the helmet, which is created by the weight of the camera.

Once the camera is mounted, the bracket places the camera in a POV shooting angle. Wide-angles lenses are recommended so you're able to catch all the action. The helmet will fit head sizes ranging from 21.3 to 23.6", and the ratcheting strap will further adjust the helmet on your head. Additionally, accessories like a small video light or microphone can attach to either side plate or the top plate via several 1/4"-20 threaded sockets.

What cameras can I use with the helmet. I'm planing to use a Blackmagic pocket?
Asked by: Francisco
This really depends on what lens your going to use. I believe the instructions indicate 2.5 lbs. is the weight limit. There are a total of 2 lbs. 6 oz. of counter balance weights included. I have the Sony A7RIII with the G-master 16-35mm lens (3 lbs. 3 oz.) and its too heavy for this rig. I am more then certain with the proper lens the Sony A7RIII will work great. I used this rig for a job and ended up mounting a Panasonic GH5s with a Rokinon wide angle cinema lens and it worked fantastic. Hope that helps.

How much is the difference in size from L and XL? I don't want me to be out of adjustment when putting the camera and counterweights on. I would like you to tell me about your experience in use and that it remains exactly in the head so that it does not move.
Asked by: bamk
The measurements overlap, as the S/M size range is 21.3-23.6" and the L/XL is 22-24.4". I recommend measuring the circumference of your head, by wrapping a string around your forehead and then measure the length of the string.
