The cable itself works, the length is incorrect. I purchased this item hoping it would work at my desk running from an Apple Cinema Display to a desktop computer graphics card. The cable arrived 6 inches shorter than expected. I contacted customer service to explain the issue, they promptly sent me a new cable. The new cable was also 6 inches not 1 foot.

Can this be used to connect a Mac display with a Thunderbolt 2 connector to a computer with a DisplayPort port?
Didn't work. Only on PC. You can use Thunderbolt 2 to HDMI.
