The NEXI Industries Urban Series Dutch Screamer Pedal is a stompbox designed to work with the company's Solution pedalboards. However, it also works with standard pedal chains and conventional pedalboards.
Featuring an all-analog construction in an all-metal chassis, the Urban Series Dutch Screamer provides a classic tube-like overdrive suitable for rock, blues, punk, and more. You can switch this pedal on by itself or use it in conjunction with other distortion pedals for complex, screaming tones. Also, at low levels of distortion, the pedal provides a subtle, warm timbre with just enough bite to give your otherwise clean tone some edge.
The pedal can be manipulated via three controls: Drive, Tone, and Volume. Engaging and bypassing the pedal is as simple as stomping on the large rubberized footswitch. The pedal utilizes a true-bypass circuit, so when it's not in use, no trace of the circuitry impacts your tone.
Though intended for use with Solution pedalboards, this stompbox can also work with most setups. Simply remove the rubberized pads on the unit, and you'll find all the customary I/O jacks and connectivity options, including a slot for a 9V battery or your own power supply. Either way, the pedal is sure to bring you the gritty sound you expect from an analog stompbox.
Into this pedalboard, guitarists have the ability to plug a whole ecosystem of modular, analog pedals in any order they choose. And this is where the Urban Series Dutch Screamer pedal comes in: you can plug this pedal directly into your Solution pedalboard by means of a multipin connection on the rear.
Were you to do so, you wouldn't need a separate 1/4" connection for: the pedal's input or output, a 9V battery, a BOSS-style 9V power adapter, or a bunch of hook-and-loop fastener scuffing up the back of the stompbox. Yet the company recognizes that guitarists want the option to use the pedal however they'd like, so all the conventional I/O and powering methods are on hand.
