The 4 x 4" Cokin NUANCES Z-Pro Series ND Filter features a 32x filter factor that provides a 5-stop exposure reduction and is designed for use with a Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder. Its 1.5 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
Cokin NUANCES filters are constructed from tempered SCHOTT B270 glass and feature nano-metallic alloy film coatings on both sides of the filter surface to attenuate infrared light while maintaining true color fidelity, even when stacked with other Cokin NUANCES or NUANCES Extreme filters.
For use with a Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder, a light-blocking gasket is included. This gasket forms a seal that is intended to prevent stray light, which could have unwanted effects on exposure, from coming in between the filter and the lens behind it.
