I bought these to replace a missing cap on my original Platypod spikes. These are better than the thread protectors it originally came with, however they don't stay on quite as well. I may place a dab of silicon glue in each cap to help them stay on better.
I like to keep spare parts, especially when they are small and inexpensive.
