USA GEAR S17 Overview

Store and protect your DSLR camera, lenses and accessories in the USA Gear S17 DSLR Camera Backpack from Accessory Power. The pack is black with an orange interior, and has touch-fastening padded dividers, plus eight accessory pockets to provide numerous customized storage options. The top of the pack has a zippered compartment with an accessory pocket for keeping personal items and anything requiring handy access. A padded laptop compartment will accommodate a 15.6" notebook, tablet or other similar sized device.

On the side of the pack is a pocket for storing the base of a compact tripod, and an adjustable strap for securing the tripod's midsection. Tuck-away shoulder straps allow you to wear the backpack as a pack or sling. Simply tuck-away the strap that isn't being used. The pack has a waist belt for improved stability and comfort. Included with your S17 Backpack is a useful rain cover.

I know, I'm crazy, but I got these in 3 colors. Fits 2 Fujifilm XT bodies and 3 Fujifilm lenses. Easily fits under a plane seat as a personal item. My first one wag grey and it worked so well, that I got a blue and a pink one as well.

Great for camcorder

Works great for my camcorder (Canon XA.) I keep it in the bottom compartment. I cut foam to mold around the camera and batteries. I use the dividers for sound and one of the lights. The top compartment is great for holding all of the small things and my stick mic. Would definitely buy this again.

I've recently had a camera backpack from pelican products, and that backpack has a laptop compartment. That part of the backpack was a hard cover and was against my back making it very uncomfort to walk with, leading me to... How comfortable is this bag whole walking?

Is this bag deep enough to hold a canon 1dx body standing up like pictured? It is similar to a smaller body liek a 5d with a grip but still pretty large. Thanks for help in advance

How much does the entire bag weigh? The specs said the interior weighs 2.5 lb but the package weighs only 2 lb. It doesn't make sense, unless some part will be missing when delivered.

The USA GEAR S17 DSLR Camera Backpack weights in at 2 lbs. The numbers in the specs are reversed. The package weights 2.47 lbs.

Is the top compartment separated from the larger, bottom compartment? And if it is, would it be possible to run cavles from the top - compartments? I want to use this as an audio recording bag with my Schoeps microphones and Sound Devices Mixpre Series recorders! TIA!!!

Yes, the top divider is removable on teh USA GEAR USA Gear S17 DSLR Camera Backpack. If you only need to run cables through the top and bottom compartment you can do so since the divider attaches to the backpack wall with Velcro tape.

The side pockets - there is only one, correct, since the other side opens up into the bag? So I would have to choose either for the water bottle or for the tripod? And for a water bottle - is the pocket deep enough the bottle won't tumble out?
