APC Home Office SurgeArrest Reviews
APC has always been my go to brand for surge protectors. This product works properly and as expected. The arrangement of outlets makes it more functional and allows for flexible placement of device connections.
Nice basic surge protector for office equipment
It's a good surge protector. There's not much to say about it, although I do like the layout of the outlets with the three angled plugs for larger power bricks. It has plenty of outlets, mounts nicely, and has a couple of built-in USB charging ports which could make it easier to power additional media streaming devices when the rest of the outlets are taken up by the rest of your media console items.
Excellent Surge Protector with Flat plug
Purchase this to place behind furniture, below a widescreen tv. It has a flat plug, making it easier to place the furniture closer to the wall; and, the 8 outlets provide more than enough coverage for the tv, cable box, blue ray player, etc.
Frustration continues with surge protectors
Why can't someone make a surge protector where you can really use all the plugs? I thought this one was the answer, but because different plugs go in different directions, you are still limited in which plugs you can use. Large plugs in the front plugs block the usb. plugs from one side, block the other side.
Works as promised.
My previous surge protector had all the plugs facing the same way - which meant that, even though it looked like it should have held 6 plugs, it didn't, because my chunky plugs couldn't fit. So this lay-out is great. The chunky ones go on the side that fits 3 plugs, and my narrower plugs fit on the other side. Plus this has space for USB charging. Perfect.
Kept me from trouble
I recently took this on vacation internationally. I plugged it in, forgetting about the voltage difference. So, I used it only once, but it did its job well and prevented my electronics from being fried. (the surge protector was dead after that)
Well designed device. I like the feature that accommodates plug-in transformers. Easy to mount.
