The zirconium oxide ceramic blade has a finger-friendly single edge, which is sharp for materials, but resistant to cutting skin, and the pointed tip can be used to initiate a cut into wood, clay, or other materials. Also, the blades are non-conductive, non-magnetic, non-sparking, and chemically inert, so they will never rust. The oil- and lubricant-free blades are compatible with the 10548 craft knife, 10589 craft knife (safety cap), 10568 scalpel, and 10580 precision knife handles.
