MusicCast makes putting music anywhere easy...

I have a hidden installation starting off with a Rx-V485 so the idea of using Musiccast appealed to me so that the Turntable can be placed anywhere. This will also provide the option of adding MusicCast speakers in various locations too. Setup was easy following the steps and the digital sources (Pandora, Tidal etc) worked well however when going to the turntable, it seems the quality of the WiFi Network becomes a factor. The solution for me was to place the turntable closer to the router. The router I have is also hidden and may not be the best place to put it but practicality sometimes wins over (a.k.a Wife factor)........I suspect that when going analog the bandwidth demands are more, so the connection might be tougher to maintain. Overall, the unit works well and is fun to get back to vinyl. I wouldn't say that this is audiophile grade but it's no slouch either. The Stylus is an Audio-Technica 3600, so it is a entry-mid tier stylus. But given the convenience of being able to connect wirelessly is nice to have.

Excellent and high quality

"Best" can be subjective. Audioengine A5+ Wireless Bluetooth Speaker System, (AUA5PBTBLK) or Denon D-T1 30W Bluetooth Wireless Music System (DEDT1) can be very good companions to Yamaha MusicCast turntable. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1392605-REG/audioengine_a5_bt_blk_a5_plus_bluetooth_speaker.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1496141-REG/denon_dt_1_d_t1_hi_fi_mini_system.html

With the VINYL 500, you can keep the music going by streaming from your music services via Wi-Fi, AirPlay, or Spotify Connect. Connect the turntable to add wireless connectivity to your existing stereo setup. The vinyl records will not transmit their content wirelessly. However: With MusicCast multi-room technology and additional MusicCast speakers, you can share and listen to your record collection throughout the house.

I just purchased this TTN503 VINYL 500 to use my Apple HomePods via Airplay 2. I was told compatibility would be 100%. True?
Asked by: Lisa
As I understand it, the MusicCast app needs to be installed on an iPhone or iPad and then control the HomePods from that. I’m wondering if perhaps the “Home” app for music/video devices will recognize it. I will have the White TTN503 tomorrow. No difference except the color I hope.
