SHAPE BXNPF Overview

Use the J-Box Camera Power and Charger from SHAPE to power your Sony a7 series camera and other accessories simultaneously with a V-mount battery (not included) and continuous AC power. Multiple LED indicators on the J-Box show battery and power status.

The J-Box is designed to power your camera while also powering items like a monitor, smartphone, or lights, and when plugged into an AC outlet with the included AC adapter, you can remove the battery safely without powering down your camera. The J-Box has a V-mount battery plate, and on the side there are four power outputs: one 20W, 5V/4A, one 40W, 8V/5A, one 60W, 12V/5A, and one D-Tap 100W, 16.8V/6A. On top there's a 5V/4A USB Type-A port to power your smartphone or USB accessory. You can power multiple items simultaneously with up to 100W of total power consumption. There are also threaded holes on the back of the plate for mounting options.

The charger comes with a cable connector to power your Sony a7 series camera, a 15mm rod mount to use with your 15mm LWS rod system, a removable Delta plate, and an Allen wrench and screws for mounting your gear.

Hi I was wondering what's the difference between this product and the SHAPE D-Box Camera Power & Charger Kit for Sony a7R III and a7 III Series. The second question is: which is suitable for the a7S3 ?

The dummy battery provided by both kits are different since the different generations of A7-series cameras use differently shaped batteries. The A7SIII will use the same kit as the A7III and A7RIII here: https://bhpho.to/3851tQ8 For reference, The A7 and A7II (the regular, 7R and 7S) use the same battery NP-FW50, and the third-generation A7III/RIII/SIII use the same battery NP-FZ100.

Yes, The SHAPE J-Box Camera Power & Charger for Sony a7 Series comes with a SONY style FZ-100 dummy battery that will support the Sony A1.

Hello. Looking to power my A7s3 rig and accessories. Does this plate work as an uninterrupted power supply - i.e. If both v-mount battery and AC/power are connected, I can disconnect either and it will switch to the other uninterrupted? Also are you able to charge a v-mount battery while also suppling power to the camera rig? Lastly can you use the plate without a v-mount battery and just run off AC power adapter? Thanks.

The SHAPE J-Box Camera Power & Charger's plate functions as an uninterrupted power supply. Since the main power supply is routed to the J-Box, unplugging the J-Box from the camera will turn the camera off; unplugging the AC adapter but leaving the J-Box with a V-mount battery connected to the camera will continue to power the camera. You are not able to charge a V-mount battery while also supplying power to the camera rig. Yes, you can use the J-Box without having a V-mount battery and just run off the AC power adapter.

I see in the photo of your product that they put a battery that is small in height. Any size of battery V-mount fits in the D-box to give power to the Sony camera and a follow focus by d-tap? For example, will it support the battery that is higher in size GEN ENERGY G-B200 195Wh?

Hello BamkThank you for your question! The small battery you see in the picture is actually a dummy battery cable designed to power the Sony A7 series camera. The package comes with the appropriate cables to plug it in our D-box system. You can certainly add a regular size V-mount battery at the back of the D-box, or even a higher size one like the one you're suggesting. The D-box has one D-tap output, if your battery has an additional D-tap output, you'll be able to power a follow focus also. We hope this helps and we thank you for your interest in our products. Hi Wauw, thats a lot of questions ;-)Yes you can put the support in a 90 degree angle with a 1,1kg battery no problem. I dont know the exact weight of the unit yet, you will be able to find more details on our website soon. We provide you with a 1 year warranty on the product since its an eceltrical device. On all CNC items we provide a life time warranty. The D-Tap can not support a camera since the voltage goes to 14v and those cameras require if I am not mistaken a 24v output.Hope this covers it for you?Please let us know if we can help you with anything else.With kind regards,Dirk
