Mount a tripod head onto the 3/8"-16 screw of this Light Stand Adapter from RigWheels for mounting on either a Baby or Junior pin light stand. Its compact size allows the adapter to be used with dolly and slider systems. The adapter tightens on the light stand with a locking thumbscrew.

This unit is the right size to work with 5/8 pins or U.S. Baby Receivers. The thumb screw and the option of two threaded holes for different types of 5/8 pins. The only thing that might have been nice would be a top flange to stop the travel into the baby receiver, but it probably better this way. In my application the pole I screwed this into had a wider base that worked a stop any way.
A great stand adapter that feels way sturdier than the ones that come with teredeks for example. The knob has a retaining screw so it wont come off/ get lost, but the thread is a bit tall for most monitors/ cages. The thread can be adjusted up or down with a big allen key, but you'd want to hit it with some locktite afterwards.
