The 14" mt21 Mobile Thin Client from HP balances form and function, thanks to the Windows 10 IoT Enterprise operating system, which allows it to fully function as an independent desktop system or utilize the computing resources of a server or cloud. With Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, the system can access a virtualized environment, created from server-based software from VMware, Citrix, or Microsoft, to handle higher processing and graphics rendering workloads. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise provides the same features as Windows 10 Enterprise, which delivers networking manageability and security to this HP thin client, making it suitable for environments such as retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and other industries.
The 14" Anti-Glare TN (Twisted Nematic) display features an HD 1366 x 768 native resolution that is equipped with LED-backlighting, a 16:9 aspect ratio, 220 cd/m2 brightness, a 300:1 contrast ratio, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, viewing angles of 40/40/15/30°, and 45% sRGB color gamut coverage. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 610 delivers a sharp, clear picture, and you'll be able to output video to an external display at resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 @ 24 Hz with 7-channel audio using the HDMI 1.4b port, while the VGA port supports resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 @ 60 Hz.
This system is powered by a 1.8 GHz Intel Celeron 3865U Dual-Core processor, 8GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM, and a 128GB SATA M.2 SSD. If you want to add external storage drives or other peripherals, there is one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port and two 5 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one of which doubles as a charging port. Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) are built-in for wired and wireless networking and Bluetooth 4.2 technology will allow you to connect additional compatible peripherals. The 14" mt21 Mobile Thin Client includes a 45W Smart AC adapter and an HP Long Life 3-cell / 48Wh lithium-ion battery that lasts for up to 15.5 hours before recharging is required. When the system is turned off or in standby mode, the battery can be recharged in around three hours. Thanks to HP's fast-charging technology, the battery can be recharged up to 90% in 90 minutes.
