The pack has rear access to camera gear, and front access to other items. There's also a separate compartment for a laptop up to 17". Carry the Roadie 22 Backpack with the top or side handles, roll it with the adjustable rear trolley strap, or wear it with the padded shoulder straps. For added comfort and stability, the pack features a padded back panel, a padded removable waist belt, and a sternum strap. The bottom of the pack is reinforced for weather and abrasion protection. Photographers will appreciate the included weather cover.

Clean lines and a high-end luggage aesthetic with minimal branding ensure a professional look without drawing unwanted attention to the gear inside.
Meets most international carry-on standards–but check with your carrier before departure.
Holds two Mirrorless or DSLR cameras (up to pro size with grip) with 6-8 lenses (up to 400mm f2.8), or a Canon, RED, or Sony cine camera with 3-5 lenses, plus audio gear (headphones, recorder), tripod, monopod or shotgun mic, and a laptop up to 17 inches. Will also hold a DJI Mavic and other compact drones.
The quick access top compartment allows easy access to your most commonly used gear (lenses, headphones, mics, recorders etc).
An expandable zippered side pocket lets you stash a tripod in just a few seconds. Also holds compact light stands, shot mics or a monopod. Stows flat against the bag when not in use.
Contoured shoulder harness and hip belt provide comfort and support when carrying large camera systems, and high-density foam padding won't compress or break down over time or with heavy use. Waist belt is easily removable when not needed.
A front padded sleeve protects a laptop up to 17 inches and can be opened quickly at airport security.
Secure rear camera access to the main camera compartment is located on the harness side, which provides safety and security when working in unfamiliar or crowded locations. Equipment cannot be removed from the front side while the bag is being carried.
Body armor base panel at the bottom of the Roadie has a TPU-coated water- and abrasion-resistant exterior that protects from wet and/or dirty surfaces and is easy to wipe clean.
Water-repellent 1680D ballistic nylon exterior, ripstop nylon interior, YKK zippers/clips, and heavily-reinforced stitching.
Reinforced top and side handles make the Roadie comfortable to carry even when fully loaded. Waterproof full-grain leather trim improves grip.
Front organizer pockets allow quick access to your passport, memory cards, batteries, cables and other items.
Low-profile EVA foam dividers provide the protection of thicker dividers but with less weight and bulk.

Awesome bag for all the gear

Couldn't find a single thing to complain about this bag. It is a pretty big bag and just fits in the "carry on" requirements but I haven't ran into a single problem fitting it in any overheads. Holds so much gear though and really solves my issue of trying to find a bag that can hold everything I wanna bring. Trying to fit a 1dx and an fs5 with all its attachments along with 3-5 lenses is a lot of space needed and this thing even gives me an extra slot for another two average size lenses. Hard to believe I found I bag I can actually grow into! It is a big bag so having it on the body it does look like a mini fridge on your back but for me every big camera bag looks ridiculous on let's be honest. Didn't think I'd find much use for the tripod holder but it actually fits some 16" rails for my Sony perfectly which always is a pain finding space for. Would highly recommend this bag to someone looking for a carry all your gear type of bag. I personally love the look and function of this and would buy again.

Superb travel backpack

If it fits your needs, this case will not disappoint. I was facing a cross-country, overnight, corporate assignment. I wanted a carry-on that would hold my camera and assorted gear, but also a change of clothes and toiletries, and a light stand, umbrella, and monopod. Tenba materials and construction is tops. Question came down to whether I wanted a roller case or backpack versus price. Knowing I would be outside for some of my shoot, I went with the Roadie. That is a question only you can answer. Second question is your comfort/discomfort having the bag checked on the jetway. If nervous, get the aircase roller version. I had five flights. Two on medium size jets where the bag fit in the overhead. Easily. Three were on regional jets. The 22 will not fit overhead on regional jets. Two flights had empty seats and they let me stow it under seats. One flight made me check at jetway. All equipment arrived unscathed. Also important to me was the side pocket for tripods. I used velcro straps to bind Manfrotto monopod, an umbrella and small old Bogen lightstand together and they fit with breathing room to spare. These items ranged from 23-25 inches long, and nobody questioned me at all during the entire trip, even though they were taller than the bag. Two items to note: at the time of purchase on their website, Tenba described their Roadie Series of bags as having a security cable and TSA approved lock. This 22 backpack is included in their Roadie Series, but it and the 20 version do not include the cable. I communicated this to Tenba and they are correcting the web site. Comparable backpacks from other manufacturers have this feature. Be aware this Tenba version does not. For me, it was not a huge issue. The zipper for the camera compartment has the holes that allow a small lock. Lastly, there are fabric webs that catch the innermost flat storage area (as opposed to the outer one designed for laptops). This fabric keeps the side from flying wide open, but can get caught in the zipper while attempting to zip it closed. Just use the same care taken to not get your shirt caught in your pants zipper and you'll be fine.
