The NATO Handle Plus V2 Kit from Wooden Camera pairs the NATO Handle Plus V2 with a 2.8" NATO rail. This top handle kit is ready to mount on your camera cage and is priced lower than the total of the individual components.

Wooden Camera NATO Handle Plus V2

The Wooden Camera NATO Handle Plus V2 mounts on a standard NATO rail on your camera rig, providing a comfortable carrying handle and accessory mounting.

The handle features quick release mounting and can be rotated up to 180° with indents indicating 90° increments. Accessory mounting options include a single 15mm rod port, two cold shoe mounts, and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads including ARRI-style anti-twist mounts. The underside of the NATO Handle Plus V2 incorporates a durable wood-look composite handgrip.

Wooden Camera NATO Safety Rail with ARRI-Style Mount (2.8", 1.67" Channel)

The 2.8" NATO Safety Rail with ARRI-Style Mount from Wooden Camera attaches to your camera or other device using any two 1/4"-20 holes up to 1.67" apart on-center. This rail features an ARRI-style anti-twist accessory mount on one end and a spring-loaded safety pin on the other.

Use this rail to mount NATO handles, clamps, and other accessories on your camera. It is compatible with RED and third-party NATO-style accessories.

We use this on our RED Monstro Camera and have been very happy with it. I’m not sure what some of the other comments are referring to regarding the hardware, because ours came with solid 1/4-20 Allen bolts that securely mount the NATO rail to the camera’s top plate. The handle is highly adjustable and can be moved in multiple directions, making it easy to position for the best grip or move completely out of the way depending on the shot or camera setup. Very versatile and well thought out design.

I got this for my FX9 and it works great! Could have done without the swivel feature but as long as I keep the swivel knob tight it's fine. Other than that it's perfect

No, the Wooden Camera Master Top Handle for RED DSMC2 (Main Handle Section) is not compatible with the Wooden Camera Top Plate for Sony FX9.

Will this handle (in either orientation) get in the way of still photography, ie hit your forehead, if you leave the handle on the hot shoe?

Depending on the camera being used, in the front-facing orientation, the grip of the handle rests about 3 above the eyepiece, and extends about 2 past the back of the camera body. When rotated the other direction, the silver thumbscrew sits in a lower position compared to the grip of the handle. Therefore, it will most likely make contact with the forehead.

Tanner, This will not work with the DSMC1 due to the hole spacing, but we do have our Master Top Handle (Universal Center Screw Channel) (Main Section Only).
