Think Tank Photo Hydrophobia Overview

Protect your camera and lens with the Hydrophobia DM 300-600 Rain Cover from Think Tank Photo. The durable triple-layered construction, waterproof coating, and sealed seams guard your camera from rain, sleet, snow, sand, and dust. It fits easily over a DSLR or mirrorless full-frame camera with a 300-600mm f/2.8 or similar lens. The nonslip, adjustable strap cinches to your lens hood to keep it in place, and two cinchable sleeves provide easy access to your camera and lens controls.

An oversized window allows you to view the camera controls and LCD screen. A separately available eyepiece allows full access to your viewfinder, and an eyepiece flap folds into a visor or shields the viewfinder from rain or dust when not in use. An eyepiece pocket is built into the bottom of the cover for handy storage. The cover can be used when your camera is mounted to a tripod or monopod, and it folds to fit in the included compact carrying pouch for convenient transport.

Think Tank Photo Hydrophobia Reviews

Not Happy

I purchased this rain cover for my Sony a6700 at the recommendation of a B&H representative. After receiving the rain cover I discovered that I needed an additional eyepiece for my Sony a6700. After contacting B&H, I learned that there isn’t an eyepiece made to fit my Sony camera. That little piece of information would have been very useful prior to my purchase of $170.00. Not happy with B&H.

A necessity!

An absolute necessity in the winter, or when rain, or drizzle are in the forecast. It fulfills the need, although it behooves one to have it mounted before the need arises as it is not as simple as throw it over camera, lens, and tripod. I like most of the functionality although I had to add additional stick on Velcro strips to sufficiently keep the black viewfinder cover out of my way when it is not supposed to cover the viewfinder, for the price this should not have been the case, also I believe that at that price point the eyepiece necessary should have been included, and available to choose from a drop down menu, not another purchase as mine was. Other than that it does what is stated, and I expect no less from a Think Tank product intended for the professional.

How short of a lense can you use with this cover?
Asked by: wade
The Think Tank Photo Hydrophobia DM 300-600 Rain Cover (Black) is really made for long zoom lenses. It is fine with 70-200mm lenses. For smaller zooms, it is best to use a smaller rain cover like this for smaller than 70-200mm lenses, such as the Think Tank Photo Hydrophobia D 24-70 Rain Cover (Black), BH #THHPD2470V3 (https://bhpho.to/4tekqpX).
