I got this a shorter replacement for my existing FSB 6 tripod head. The screw threads are the same but the collar was too wide to screw all the way in and was obstructed by the legs. I swapped the collar off my old tie down and it fit, however the way the tie down is shaped prevents the legs from closing all the way. It’s probably an inch and a half from being closed all the way. Not the biggest issue, it still fits in the bag fine. Just something to be aware of if you do this yourself. Overall, it’s a very good quality tie down, it would be nice if they made something similar to this low profile design for 75mm heads.

I bought a used Flowtech. The tie down was not included. I tried to use the tie down from my 100mm Sachtler head but it was too wide for the Flowtech legs to close completely. This tie down is narrower and allows legs to close all the way. Kind of a bummer to have to purchase a specific tie down but it works. The Flowtech is really great.

Sachtler flowtech Tripods such as BH #SA5585 come with this part included. Your old tie-down may not work, but if you are purchasing BH #SA5585 it comes in the box already.

Is this Metric or Imperial? Wondering if this is compatible with Metric screws or not. Cartoni only use Metric but their tie down knob is too wide for my tripod legs to close completely.
