The robust and angular body of the Cowon Plenue R 128GB Portable High-Resolution Audio Player is constructed from CNC-machined, high-strength anodized aluminum, and houses sophisticated audio reproduction technology. At its core is the Texas Instruments PCM5242 DAC and SoundPlus amplifier, which are engineered to reproduce 24-bit/192 kHz, DSD, and DXD audio sources, and drive them through your favorite high-end headphones with high impedance, without the need of a separate amp. It sports a 3.5mm headphone and optical output, as well as a 2.5mm balanced headphone connector. The balanced output eliminates transmission noise by adding "out of phase" signals to reproduce clearer and crisper original sound.
The Plenue R provides an ample 128GB of storage for your high-resolution audio files, and even gives you the ability to expand that with an (optional) microSD card (up to 256GB). Controlling audio settings and playback can be done on the built-in 3.7" AMOLED touch display, or you can utilize physical side buttons that operate power, volume, playback, and search. When playing your audio files, the color-changing LED indicator lets you know the type you're listening to at a glance, such as normal audio, HD, or DSD/DXD sound.

The built-in rechargeable 3000mAh LiPo battery provides up to 17 hours of playback, and you can choose to playback files wirelessly with Bluetooth technology. The Plenue R supports the Qualcomm aptX audio codec, which provides high compression efficiency so you can still have a superb audio experience whether you're tethered or not.
