Maximum throw distance is 15m, but how close can the front be before driver integration and directionality compromises performance? Is 10 - 12 ft too close?

i use the JBL C221 speakers in my home theater. left, center, right. They are amazing. I use them behind my screen. The vocals are amazing and very clear to understand dialogue. My room has low 7'3" ceiling and yet still amazing. The room is 15 X 25. These speakers are made specifically for theaters and specifically for placement behind the screen. Highly recommend for home use.

It looks like the C221 is side-ported. How much space is required between them in an LCR configuration for the ports to work as designed?
Asked by: David
The Ports sum with the LF almost in place. As long as the ports are not obstructed, there shouldn’t be an issue.
