Lenovo Legion Y7000

8th Gen Coffee Lake Intel Core i7 Performance
This notebook features an 8th Gen Coffee Lake Intel Core i7-8750U processor. Its six cores can reach a base clock speed of 2.2 GHz and be boosted up to 4.1 GHz.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-Series Graphics Card
NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards can deliver up to a 40% increase in performance over the previous generation. Not only are they powerful, they can deliver similar performance to their desktop counterparts with a slight performance difference. This changes mobile gaming, allowing you to max out your game's visuals settings so you can enjoy it at its best. Moreover, this graphics card is VR-ready so you can use it with your favorite VR headset.
802.11ac Wi-Fi & Gigabit Ethernet
This notebook offers 802.11ac Wi-Fi as well as a Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 LAN jack so you'll be able to have fast, wired or wireless internet access. Bluetooth 4.1 technology allows you to connect various peripherals wirelessly.

Windows 10

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Laptop, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

    Lenovo Y7000 Reviews

15.6" Legion Y7000 Gaming Laptop is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performance & Sleeper Design I purchased this workstation laptop for managing CAD files, extracting 2D views and conversion to other CAD formats, while on the road. This particular F7000 configuration offered by B&H is prefect for my applications and meets my expectations. Although designed as a gaming laptop, its performance for running Siemens Solid Edge rivals my workstation at work. Plus running Windows 360 and large files is refreshingly lightening fast. I like its sleeper design without the wild flashing colored key board too. Ample mix and smart placement of its various I/O ports.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features for gaming at a great price It is rare to see a Y7000 offered with the 144hz display but here it is!  This will make watching the gaming video display somewhat soother than the 60 hz machines. So 16 MB RAM, I7-8750 6 Core CPU, 512 GB Solid State Drive with one open 2 1/2 inch bay for another drive in the future. NVIDIA 1060  6 GB GPU! That is a bunch of computer for the price.  Oh, and the onboard speakers are pretty good as well. That is my opinion anyway. You can spend much more and get the same hardware or possibly less with other brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really awesome laptop! Great price point, awesome specs. The B&H model is the only one that does have a 144hz screen, the other ones from other retailers have a 60hz. Fantastic for gaming or editing. This build is much improved on the Legion Y520 that it replaced.  Build quality is great. I threw 32GB of RAM and a 1TB NVME drive in there. There is a 2.5 HDD slot and a M.2 NVME slot. Cons: Trackpad isnt as nice to use compared to my previous Macbook Pro Battery life is poor, you get about an hour or so unless youre trying really hard to conserve power, but its a gaming laptop Webcam placement, but Id rather have it here than have a large bezel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Heats Up Very Easily Ok laptop for the price. Main concern is thermal management, which may impact overall longevity. Computer heats up very quickly for a gaming laptop and fans run very loudly during the entire game. Machine barely handles Fortnite due to heat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Powerful laptop but very poor thermals & WiFi issues This is a powerful six core laptop with a good graphics card. However the thermals are very poor. Fans sound like jet engines and they come on even when doing light stuff like browsing or opening windows explorer. This Lenovo is also plagued with the infamous issue of WiFi disconnecting randomly. I could not tolerate the loud fan noises coming randomly due to the overheating even under low CPU usage. For doing voice recordings, etc this laptop is unusable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy!!! This is probably the best new computer purchase experiences I have had!!  Out of the box, everything went according to set up plan and downloads have been flawless. The screen is really nice, the footprint is nice and the general capabilities of this powerhouse are fantastic!!!  Photo editing with 24mp raw images is a breeze! This is one of the very best laptop values on the market!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is really good! I just got this laptop for 1 week at $1199. So far everything works great. It is the cheapest one with such config ?I7-8750, 1066, 144hz, 512 SSD?and the heat release system is really powerful especially with Fn+Q. I would recommend this one rather than the one in Costco and Walmart because of 144 screen and 512 SSD. If you have a roughly 1000 budget and are looking  for a gaming laptop. This is definitely the best one. The only con is that it is easy to leave the finger print on A and C side.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Raw speed, but not without a few annoyances. In terms of raw specs, this laptop is a beast.  It has the fastest CPU currently available on the market, short of intel i9 (which runs too hot on laptops imo). Fast memory at the right capacity (16GB). A good for value, mid-tier graphics card (GTX 1060). Fast SSD at a good capacity (512GB). A nice, bright and fast display (144Hz) at a good resolution (1080p). Fit and finish is overall good and higher than its competition at its price level. But the materials used and packaging of the shell, is no where close to Apple or Razer products. Thermals are decent, it can run a little hot but its a powerful laptop so thats expected. Here are my annoyances: Trackpad feels plasticy and cheap. No media controls for play, pause, fwd/rev Volume and brightness controls REQUIRES the func key to be pressed. There is not function lock support, which is hugely inconvenient. Kinda bulky Battery life is neither bad nor great (4hrs of playback)
