TP-Link HS300 Reviews

Great Product, a bit expensive

I really like the power bar. Seems reliable and has lots of options and flexibility. You can can control each plug (but not USB). You can control the plugs from your phone, label each and setup schedules or routines to run based on specified conditions. There are timers, as well as an energy use breakdown. You can also connect to an assistant. Overall, a great product with lots of features. And while B&H had the lowest price I could find for this specific brand, there are cheaper alternatives out there. I went with this since I have other Kasa products, and want less apps on my phone.

Finally Smartened up.

Power Strip is OK, Setup Difficult

I is nice to know how much power the devices plugged into the power strip consume. And it is useful to be able to set the individual sockets to turn on/off via a built-in timer. Once it is running, the software is OK, but it is a pain to set up.

While it took a little more to set up them I expected, once I figured it out it set up and works as advertised. I was able to turn off and on outlets from my google system by voice.

Using this in my aquarium to automate control of some lights and pumps. I've only had it running for a week but, so far, it has worked flawlessly. I was able to install the TP-Link Kasa app and set up a schedule for each outlet. I also love being able to see the energy usage for each outlet in the Kasa app. I had no problem integrating with the Google Home app. I also have a Samsung SmartThings hub and app and it, supposedly will integrate with that. But I am still using their old app and it does not integrate with that. Sumsung is very slowly migrating to a new app and, supposedly, the new app is what it will integrate with.

I bought these to control all the different electrical parts for my reef tank. Love the fact that I can schedule and group certain things to power on and off as needed. No more reading labels for each plug, now I can just as alexa to do it for me. Well worth the money spent.
