This would be hard for me to answer because I use mine to shoot landscape primarily. I also usually compose on the LCD screen which would slow you down shooting wildlife. When I shoot birds I always use A DSLR because reaction time is faster.

IR receiver/remote: As there is no IR receiver on this body, is there a workaround? Ie: A IR to bluetooth convertor? I have the irritating situation whereby I have an automated turntable, which sends out IR. It also sends out blue tooth, but I need this to control the unit via an app. Really missing the IR in this instance...

yu need to buy the cod 94830, unscrew the camera and change the sensor. once is done go to the menu and activate the new hadware. is very simple procedure. in the new book instructions is reported at the page 653. The new module cost 345$ pretti expensive but will fix the problem. best regards
