The CMF-8 Camera Mount Adapter from Zoom is an accessory attachment for the Zoom F8 and F8n Multitrack Field Recorders (sold separately). The CMF-8 can be used to securely mount your DSLR camera onto the F8 or F8n recorder via an integrated 1/4"-20 screw. It allows for full recorder access.

An earlier design of this had a slot instead of a screw hole for the tighten down knob. This caused the retaining washer to collapse and the tie down knob to come out. They fixed that. The next little improvement they could do is if the frame were just the right width, then you could use screws through a cheese plate to prevent your wireless mic bar (or whatever else) from twisting on the screw. They are really close, but no cigar, so i had to notch out just a bit to make things super secure. But once i made those alterations, the thing works great.
Extremely handy for one-man shoots with relatively small cameras. Wish it had come in the box with my Zoom F8n.
